Application Information:
All applicants seeking employment who have less than journeyman skills must follow a certain procedure. This pertains to everyone with or without experience related to the trade.
1) All persons must complete a formal application. *Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have valid Driver's License and Social Security Card. *Applicants may provide letters of recommendation from past employers. *Applicants must provide military discharge if applicable.
2) All qualified applicants will be notified for an interview. *Interviews are held during the regularly scheduled JATC meetings.
3) All interviewed applicants are put on the Eligible Candidates list. *Candidates are posted to the list according to their average score.
4) All candidates must attend 20 hours of Safety & Orientation prior to being eligible to go to work. *S&O will be scheduled when the local union needs one or more new apprentices on a job.
